We played a gig on 15 December, and I plugged my pedal board directly into the Mackie Mixer. Used standard guitar (instrument) cables. The Mackie was cabled to the speaker cabinets in the usual fashion, with quality speaker cables. No special device, no D.I. box, nothing. Worked great, and sounded fantastic.

Thats what the redbox is, tech is super old now. Get a Cab Zeus, they are pretty cool with a good preamp

Any thoughts are how to plug something like Boss GTs or MEs straight to PA? No mixer just easy in and out. Is it as simple as adding a amp sim in between? Thanks

Thats an "Active Di box". Passive di boxes dont need phantom power fyi.
I used a BOSS GT-100 multi effects pedal and plugged it right into the PA, nothing more, and it sounded great.

Thank you for showing the power supply! I got a Volante and it came with this new power supply and I was wondering if anyone else got the same PS :) The slim one fitted better on my power strip, but this one is fine, too!
I'm seeing this quite late, but I've been in the same situation. I appreciate your effort showing your set up. I noticed that you have the drive almost off on the Joyo AC Tone. I have the American Sound for the same purpose as you have, but I don't care for the drive tone on it. Is that your experience as well?

@@edgar_dejesus In regards to the DI box how do you feel about the Donner Guitar Bass Passive DI Box and secondly the Zoom MS50G MultiStomp Guitar Pedal; I have been doing mix engineer stuff for a while but Ive decide I must have new instruments to get my production better going and so far I've figured this is the best bet. Zoom box to that DI box to an interface or future amps I may own. Lastly lol this is really lengthy but is it possible to email you a picture of a used guitar I am about to buy from a friend so you could come up with a price ? or even assess it. Very much grateful for a reply :)

Nice!!! It may have been asked already, but what was your process in painting your California Sound pedal??? I have a Joyo American Sound and I’ve been toying with the idea of painting it. Heard some guys just use spray paint and a poly clear coat.

Joyo American sound is all you need if connecting if PA takes a jack input. If XLR only then a cheap passive DI box will be required also.
